We are the ones from above

This painting focuses on life and it’s complexity. The candle symbolises the light within the darkness, it is the symbol of holy illumination, the spirit of truth. In the centre I have depicted a sun and moon to show the repetition of the days beginnings and end, a constant cycle of this illumination that slowly dulls and draws to an absence of light again. The rungs of the ladder climb skyward towards what religion calls heaven, seeking the higher power and truth that towers above watching down on us waiting patiently for either perfection or failure to take place.
